A Natural Woven Fencing Specialist Company based in Nelson's
birthplace, Burnham Thorpe just inland of the North Norfolk Coast.

Burnham Willow was established in 1999 by Baz Scampion,
a trained craftsman in engineering and graduate in conservation
and ecology from the University of East Anglia

Burnham Willow has evolved from Baz's strong interests in
rural crafts and the environment, of which basketry
and the willow industry are intricately combined.

This industry continues to survive in the West Country but
has now virtually died out in East Anglia where it had strong links
with the fishing industry.

Having initially trained with internationally renowned basket maker
Colin Manthorpe, Baz created the company which has rapidly
evolved to its present form, making individually styled natural woven
structures and fencing, being peerless in their field.

Using only the finest quality sustainably harvested materials,
our Willow is from our own well managed beds .
The Hazel and Chestnut is from a number of ancient coppiced
woodlands, all of which are of great benefit to local wildlife.

Our products are hand made to our own exacting standards
by a small team of craftsmen. Importantly, our clients can have
as much input into the design as they wish making our products
as individual to our clients as they are to us.

These products range from small items such as hurdles and plant
supports to large boundary fences and windbreak sculptural pieces.

Recently we have been involved with two main show gardens
at the Chelsea Flower Show which were awarded silver/guilt in 2003
and a Gold medal in 2005 for the Fetzer Organic Vineyards Garden.

Our products are not only individually crafted practical products,
they are also beautiful aesthetically pleasing pieces of garden
or amenity sculpture creating eye catching timeless structures
in almost any situation.
